Random Shots from our Palawan Trip

Superferry (Our Lady of Good Voyage). The longest 27 hours of my life! :D

The Long Awaited Break!

The boat had a brief stop-over at Coron, Palawan between 5am and 6:30am. Di na kami bumaba, baka maiwan kami ng barko eh..hehe..I managed to get a few shots of the island before the boat started moving again.

Coron, Palawan

The sun was so blinding I didn’t notice my lens was so dirty :D

Coron, Palawan

This will be in my vacation list, I swear! :)

My Teva sandals, which i bought sometime in 2000, for I think about P3K+, finally gave up on me after our El Nido hike. 8 years, tagal no? sulit na! but for sentimental reasons, try ko pa sya i-rugby..haha! maayos pa eh, really..and the best sa hiking! Nevermind the story behind the red toenails. :D

Anyway, we also went to Sabang but I didn’t join the trip to Underground River. Not again, not yet again. I spent the entire day at the beach with the girls, my sister and my mom. I know the lens needs cleaning :D

El Nido: Island Hopping (Part II)

Now, another highlight of this trip was the super fun snorkeling we had in the Big Lagoon, but all that was not captured in cam simply because I didn’t have an underwater cam :( Anyway, let’s move on. This is Snake Island.

You had to climb this short trail to get a top view of the island.

Sailboat. It was cloudy and a little drizzling, I was worried about my cam :D

El Nido: Island Hopping (Part I)

18 March 2008

A whole day of island hopping in El Nido! Super stress buster! Kulang na lang di na ko bumalik sa work..haha! My only regret was that I didn't buy an underwater camera for this trip, or an underwater casing for my cam (ang mahal naman kasi eh..haha!). Oh well, next time.

Mascardo’s Boat. Rental fee is PhP3500 for a whole day of island hopping. Mascardo, our boatman, owns this boat. :D

Our first island stop. This is the best place (island) to have your ‘pictorial’ when you visit El Nido. Dami props around - the old boat, the mala-‘survivor’ hut, big rocks, etc. :D Mahangin sa labas. :D Photo by Cyn.

…and Voila, we’re inside! The secret is no longer a secret. :D I must say this is one of the highlights of our island hopping. The place is sooooo beautiful!

Call time's 5am, but we hit the road about an hour late due to some domestic issues - my lips are sealed, Mark! :D

We also met a few Manongs making tuba along the way and we had some tuba tasting - you just have to ignore the containers where they store ‘em. :D Photo by Cyn
